Instead of manking statements (and you can find on our pages the House of Sellassie stands on Rastafarianism), I can tell how we raise our children (daughter, 15, and son, 13) -- maybe this is the better way to answer the questions.

We all are Orthodox-biptized, but do not belong to any particul parish. Perhaps like Rastafians I believe that the knowledge of Chritianity is needed, but the connections with God are always personal. I expect that our children will do the same with their children -- letting them to enter the church in order to search for their own sense of God, which is coinsides with the time of the search for self-awareness.

In what we do, in many ways I simply follow the path Haile Sellassie himself established. He believed in God, but not that he is God. HIM is our children's great great grandfather and I think that this alone is enough for them to be responsible for.

I wish that the two, brother and sister, would worship each other as if each of them is God. That's how they learn to worship God.

We didn't prepare them to rule, govern or function royal -- we taught them to work. We taught that the name is reponsibility and the best behavior is to express it through the labors of honor.

Being responsible for their own lives is their first resposibility.

There is one HIM way to see History, to see the big picture, when the Biblical past is no less important than political realities of the present. We are only a single link in the long chain of events and we better be a strong link. The strong -- means the memory (knowledge) of the entire line.
