Personal Politics
"Naturally the common people don't want war... but after all it is the leaders of a country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in every country." Hermann GoeringI never thought that he who looks so harmless and useless will break my bond with the country. I didn't vote for him, nor for the Republican. No, seriously, what possibly can he damage in the country which could live without government? So what if does have socialist ideals? Europe is governed by the socialists for the most of the century. There are communists in many governments over there...
No, it's not Clinton, by the people did it. It's not their support for their pomo president, it's about their choices, new values, new times...
I still do not know how much the Soviet 1979 invasion of Afghanistan influenced my decision to defect. I wasn't here at the time of the Vietnam War, what's the point to speculate? But in the Fall of 2000 there would be twenty years since I am in US and I know how I feel as an American today.
First, the propaganda, something I am familiar with and something which taught me to understand who is out there. The moment I am being brainwashed, I know that I am the enemy. How did it happen that "free press" became a government agitation machine?
It's a machine, but how "free" is free media? The marxists claim that it's not free because somebody pays them (advertizing) -- the capitalists, of course. Well, we pay for this advertising, when we go to buy anything. We finance the propaganda ministry (the 4th Power). We watch it, we vote for programming (rates), we write the jokes and political commentaries... We want it this way. And in this way our mass media is a free expression of the majority.
"None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free." Goethe
