This directory is for somebody like me, who reads and writes. The links are not exclusively about Ethiopian books, there are WRITERS links, too. There are pages in READ & WRITE directory with my notes for myself and for you, if we share the same interests.

Ethiopia enjoyed more attention than the rest of Africa for centuries. There many good books on Ethiopia (see Reading List), but not anymore. The paradox is that since the fall of the marxist regime in 1991 the interest for Ethiopia almost vanished all together. Who study Ethiopia today? Most detailed account in 1993 is published by the CIA (updates in Fact Book 1999).

Seems as if the world casted the country into insignificat for history rank and the country itself agreed with the verdict.
